Awareness:
- You may not have noticed us behind lot 18, but the Ogier Gardens offers students a place to hangout, while enabling students to learn many skills involving growing fruits and vegetables. Some of these plants we share amongst ourselves, others we grow for the Osprey Cafe. Our organic garden has plant beds available for adoption and we are always seeking volunteers to operate the grounds.
- The Ogier Gardens needs help growing its garden. That growth starts with students like you! Come see what we’re up to behind parking lot 18. Your student life fees provide you with an on campus garden, from oregano to moringa trees. The only thing required to experience these plants is to come get your hands dirty.
- You just ate fruits and vegetables from the Ogier Gardens located behind the athletic facilities. Come be a part of the next harvest destined for our Osprey Cafe. We need the next crop of students to help continue to provide organic fruits and vegetables to your fellow students.
- Fruits and vegetables are available to all UNF students at the Ogier Gardens, the only thing you have to bring is your free time and patience. Small garden beds are available to students to grow just about anything they desire. Students are encouraged to come hangout and see what we’re all about.
- Free and low cost workshops are available at the Ogier Gardens. These workshops range from making jam, to crop rotation. Come take advantage of the collective knowledge made available by the garden staff and its volunteers. These workshops are posted on our bulletin board in the garden located behind lot 18.
